On 2025-06-12 at approximately 22:29 hours, I, Officer Francis of San Francisco Police Department was on duty in full uniform with body-worn camera activated when I responded to 530 3rd Street, Apt 203, San Francisco, CA 94107 regarding a reported domestic violence assault. (00:07) Upon arrival, I was met by two neighbors, Jason Sample (PA ID: #999999999) and Gary Kasparov (US Passport: #N884688305), who pointed out a victim inside the apartment. (00:10) Sample stated he and the victim's boyfriend typically hear the suspect scream at her, but on this occasion he heard "a bunch of bangs" and decided to check on her. (00:25) Sample stated when he arrived to check, the suspect ran through the door, knocking Kasparov to the floor, before fleeing the scene approximately 15 minutes prior to my arrival. (00:36) Kasparov confirmed the suspect had knocked him down while fleeing. (00:38) Both witnesses stated the couple fights frequently but this incident went too far. (00:45)
I contacted the victim, Regina George (African-American female, CA DL: #11234568), who was inside the apartment. (00:50) I observed visible redness on her cheek. (00:56) When I asked if she required medical attention, George declined and stated she would be okay. (01:01) George stated her boyfriend, Don Johnson (African-American male, DOB 05/05/1965), visits her occasionally and does not live with her. (01:07) George explained that Johnson became jealous because her cell phone had been receiving calls from someone other than him, and he accused her of having an affair. (01:06) George stated Johnson took her cell phone and threw it against the wall, then slapped her "really hard," threw her to the ground, and threw items around the apartment before leaving the scene. (01:14) When I asked about Johnson’s history, George stated he does not have a history of violence, has never hit her before, does not own any weapons to her knowledge, and has never disclosed any criminal history. (01:38) George stated she and Johnson do not have children together. (01:56) George advised Johnson may have returned to his apartment located at 2129 Dwight, Berkeley, and that he drives a newer model black Nissan Altima. (02:02)
I observed property damage inside the apartment, including the victim's cell phone, a television with a shattered screen, and a damaged framed picture. (04:03) I photographed the damaged property and the victim's visible injury. (04:03) I provided George with my contact card and assigned case number 947963. (03:24) I obtained George's phone number as 415-746-0111. (03:27) I broadcast a BOLO for Don Johnson, describing him as an African-American male, approximately 60 years of age, driving a black Nissan Altima and potentially headed to Berkeley. (04:35) I advised Berkeley Police Department of the situation and Johnson’s possible location at his Berkeley apartment. (03:15) I subsequently conducted a field interview with negative results. (09:58) The case remains open with Johnson outstanding.
